JOURNEY OF FAITH   To Walk As One and In Word & Deed

James Gaffney, a writer and teacher from Pennsylvania, has been involved in religious and educational writing for many years. In addition to teaching writing courses, he has worked for several Catholic book publishers as a writer and editor.

His columns and articles focus on evangelization and Catholic formation, especially in spirituality. His latest book How Shall We Pray is available through Catholic Book Publishing.

To Walk As One takes a light-hearted look at the “domestic church” and how our spouses and families form the first school of faith and the training ground of spirituality. Through common experiences and memories, readers can envision how faith, hope and love are embodied in homes.

In Word and Deed offers short reflections for each Sunday of the Church Year. With clear explanations and practical examples, the theme of Christian life and holiness is explored. The reader is encouraged to pursue holiness in the ordinary events and circumstances of daily living

About David Fielding
David Fielding is a full-time illustrator and writer. He began his career as an illustrator while still working as a teacher in England. He did many of the illustrations for a set of science books for children which he wrote and published through Basil Blackwell Ltd. of Oxford, England.

David later wrote and illustrated a children’s life of Christ called ‘The Light of the World.’ This told the life of Jesus in color picture-strip, while using the strip to explain the teaching of the Church.

He has done a variety of other work: religious illustrations for Pauline Books and Media, and for Loreto Publications; and secular work for Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine and Cleaveland/Price Inc. Work for the last named involved not only the creation of technical illustrations for advertising purposes, but the creation of computerized 3D models and animated sequences.
